A beautifully rounded Auchroisk cask, aged for 12 years and re-racked into a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead in 2023, now offered as part of our exclusive private stock release.
This cask has spent over two years maturing in a fresh oak hogshead previously filled with Oloroso Sherry, allowing the spirit to take on deep sherry influence while retaining Auchroisk’s signature orchard-fruit character.
1st Fill Oloroso is one of the most desirable finishing styles for bottling — providing rich colour, dried fruit sweetness, chocolate depth, and luxurious texture. The combination of mature spirit plus two years in fresh 1st fill Oloroso produces a superb profile that is ready for bottling or suitable for extended maturation.
