A vibrant and high-yield Glen Elgin 10-year-old cask, matured over 10 years in a Refill Hogshead. Refill hogsheads are ideal for allowing Glen Elgin’s naturally honeyed, fruity and floral spirit to take centre stage, while contributing gentle oak sweetness, soft vanilla and subtle spice through steady maturation.

This cask stands out for its excellent volume and strength, making it particularly attractive for bottling projects. At 60.09% current cask strength, it delivers impressive flavour concentration and structure, while maintaining the clean, approachable Speyside style Glen Elgin is known for.

Selected from a reserved parcel for its balance, yield and clarity of distillery character, this cask offers strong value and versatility.

About Glen Elgin Distillery

Founded in 1898 near the town of Elgin, Glen Elgin produces a soft, elegant and honeyed spirit that matures beautifully in refill wood.
While much of its production supports blends, single-cask Glen Elgin releases are increasingly appreciated for their consistency, freshness and refined Speyside character.

Typical Glen Elgin character includes:

  • Honeyed sweetness

  • Fresh apple and pear

  • Light floral notes

  • Smooth, rounded texture

Refill hogshead maturation preserves these traits while adding gentle depth and balance, resulting in a whisky that is clean, expressive and highly approachable.
