An expressive Glen Elgin cask, aged for 12 years and matured in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead — a cask style renowned for adding richness, depth and classic sherry warmth.

The whisky has developed beautifully over almost twelve years, taking on layers of dried fruits, spice and chocolate while still preserving Glen Elgin’s naturally soft, honeyed distillery character.
At a current cask strength of 57.28% ABV and with excellent yield potential, this cask is well suited for premium single-cask bottling or continued maturation.

This cask forms part of Global Whisky’s exclusive private stock release.

About Glen Elgin Distillery

Glen Elgin, founded in 1898 and located just outside Elgin in Speyside, is widely respected for producing a gentle, honeyed and highly approachable style of whisky. Long used in premium blends, Glen Elgin’s single malt is admired for its balance, subtle fruitiness and natural sweetness.

Typical Glen Elgin characteristics include:

  • Soft honey and vanilla

  • Poached pears and orchard fruits

  • Light floral notes

  • A silky, rounded texture

When paired with a 1st Fill Oloroso Hogshead, Glen Elgin evolves into a richer, deeper expression — with sweet dried fruits, warming spice and a luxurious mouthfeel. Sherry maturation complements the distillery’s delicate spirit perfectly, creating a whisky ideal for bottling.
