A generous and expressive Glenlossie malt aged for over 10 years in a refill Sherry Butt.
Refill butts offer a beautiful balance between spirit character and gentle sherry influence — adding sweetness, soft dried fruits and subtle oak while allowing Glenlossie’s naturally delicate, grassy profile to remain intact.
This large-volume cask has developed excellent depth, with refined sherry notes layered over the classic Speyside character Glenlossie is known for. With a current cask strength of 60.26% and an impressive yield, this cask is ideal for premium bottling projects or continued maturation.
This cask forms part of Global Whisky’s exclusive private release.
Founded in 1876 in Speyside, Glenlossie is admired for its light, fragrant and slightly grassy distillate — a character often enhanced by gentle maturation styles. While much of its whisky goes into premium blends, Glenlossie casks are prized by independent bottlers for their elegance and subtle complexity.
Typical Glenlossie traits include:
Light grassiness & fresh herbs
Soft orchard fruits
Honey sweetness
Floral notes
Clean, delicate spirit character
A refill sherry butt complements this profile beautifully, adding dried fruit, soft spice and richness without overwhelming the distillery style.
