A beautifully matured Glenlossie malt, aged for 14 years in a New Wood Hogshead.
New wood casks — casks filled for the first time after being coopered — deliver a more pronounced oak influence, bringing vanilla, spice, sweet caramel and warm toasted notes directly into the spirit.
Glenlossie’s naturally delicate, grassy and estery character has deepened significantly during its long maturation, creating a well-balanced cask with both freshness and depth. At 50.19% current cask strength and with excellent yield potential, this cask is well suited for premium bottling or continued maturation.
This cask forms part of Global Whisky’s exclusive private stock release.
Founded in 1876 near Elgin in Speyside, Glenlossie is known for its elegant, light-bodied and aromatic spirit. Rarely bottled officially, it is highly valued by blenders for its clean, crisp distillate, making single-cask releases from the distillery both uncommon and desirable.
Typical Glenlossie character includes:
Fresh grass and herbs
Green apple & pear
Subtle honey sweetness
Soft floral notes
A silky, gentle texture
When matured in fresh oak, Glenlossie takes on deeper layers of vanilla, spice, caramel and oak warmth — creating a uniquely expressive malt ideal for bottling.
