A lively and characterful Inchgower 12-year-old cask matured for over 12 years in a Refill Hogshead
Inchgower is known for its distinctive coastal Speyside style — slightly briny, fresh, fruity and firm-bodied. Refill maturation allows these natural distillery traits to shine while adding gentle layers of vanilla, honeyed sweetness, oak spice and rounded malt character.

With a current cask strength of 57.17%, this cask offers excellent balance between vibrancy and maturity. The flavour profile is clean, expressive and well suited to a single-cask bottling that highlights Inchgower’s unique personality.

Chosen from a reserved inventory of maturing stock, this cask stood out for its clarity, structure and bottling appeal.

About Inchgower Distillery

Founded in 1871 near Buckie on the Moray Firth coast, Inchgower is one of Scotland’s most characterful Speyside distilleries.
Its slightly coastal edge, firm spirit structure and subtle nuttiness give it a distinctive identity — making it a favourite among independent bottlers.

Typical Inchgower notes include:

  • Light coastal salinity

  • Fresh orchard fruits

  • Subtle nuttiness

  • Clean, structured malt character

Refill hogshead maturation preserves these lively traits while adding gentle sweetness and rounded oak, creating a balanced and expressive whisky.
